Knowing Jesus not only connects us with Him but also reveals God the Father. Jesus serves as the perfect embodiment of God on earth. By studying His life and teachings, we gain profound insights into the Father. It’s akin to Jesus revealing the big picture of the puzzle, helping us comprehend how everything fits together seamlessly.

Moreover, Jesus empowers His disciples, assuring them that they will accomplish even greater feats in His name. This empowerment extends to us. When we have an authentic relationship with Jesus, we tap into incredible power, enabling us to perform extraordinary deeds in His name.

So, what does this mean for us?

It means that knowing Jesus is the key to a vibrant, abundant life. It’s about fostering a genuine connection with Him; closer than the bond you share with your closest friend or your brother. Through this relationship, we can embrace His boundless love, tap into His immense power, and follow His leading and guiding in our lives.

4 steps to Starting a relationship with Jesus:

1. Admit to God and yourself that you are a sinner.
2. Believe that Jesus died on the cross in your place, and God raised Him from the dead.
3. Repent (a complete change of heart and mind away from sin and towards God)
4. Confess (speak it out loud) that Jesus is Lord of your life.

Romans 3:23(NASB) – “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,”

Romans 6:23(NASB) – “For the wages of sin is death, but the gracious gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Romans 5:8(NASB) – “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

Romans 10:9-10(NASB) – “that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.” 13 for “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

Acts 2:38(NASB) – and Peter said to them, “Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Dear Heavenly Father,

Lord, I thank You for the freedom from sin that His death and resurrection offer me.

Your Word assures us that when we repent, You are faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. I understand that Your mercy and grace are gifts, expressions of Your boundless love, and not earned by any merit of my own. Today, I choose to turn away from my sins, repent sincerely, and in faith, I turn my heart towards You.

I now gratefully receive Your precious, free gift of salvation, and I confess that from this day forward, Jesus Christ is the Lord and Savior of my life.
